The Seminary Co-op Bookstores, Inc. comprises two independent bookstores. Founded in and located in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood near the University of Chicago, the Seminary Co-op has grown from 17 members at its founding to o today. About half are first-generation college students. All have access to an array of CUNY that provide a range of financial, academic, legal, social and personal assistance services.
The Co-operative College was established in by the Co-operative Union with ten overseas students based on the second floor of Holyoake House, Manchester, and in the College became a charitable trust.. In , Holyoake House was damaged by a blitz, and the Co-operative College was forced to relocate to Stanford Hall, where it spent almost fifty years. The first theme aims to provide an overall overview on the history and previous studies made on Cooperative Learning. The second theme addresses the importance of Cooperative Learning.
